I have a Sony Vaio laptop, model #VGN-NS190J. My hard drive recently went out and I had to replace it. I installed Windows 7 on my new hard drive and after going through a fun filled time at Sony's website downloading all of my drivers/software back, I have one problem. My Optiarc BD ROM no longer reads/plays blu-rays. I can play dvds, cds/burn dvds, cds. But nothing with blu-ray. When I try to run the Optiarc Driver from the Sony website, it states it can only be done in Windows Vista, Windows 7.

I have Windows 7 64 bit. I have tried several different blu-ray player software(s), but nothing has worked. When I put any blu-ray in the player, it never reads or even makes an attempt to read them. Any help would GREATLY be appreciated. Slatanic Slaughter Rar.

Thanks in advance! You can have the entirely BD side NOT working. However, since you seem to lack the proper driver(s), maybe that's the cause. As you noted the BD side isn't working and you use 64-bit OS. Thus, you need to install the 64-bit driver from the Sony website or get it from the manufacturer of your BD. One or the other should provide what you need. If the laptop came as 32-bit OS installed and you ran that prior, then you see where it starts to differ.
