On your turn you may either move your pawn one space OR place a wall. Walls can be placed anywhere on the board but can't make it impossible for you opponent to get to the other side (just very hard). The first pawn to reach the opposite side wins.

Quoridor is an exciting game with simple rules and great strategy. The game can be played by two or four players. There are 20 'fences' to be equally split between the players.

The object is to advance your pawn from the base line on your side of the board to your opponent's base line on the other side by moving one square at a time. The board measures 14 1/2' x 12', and is made of solid walnut finished with multiple layers of durable tung oil which is water resistant. The fences (made of cedar) and pawns (four different colors) come in a nice wooden box.
