Quoridor Board Game
The abstract strategy game Quoridor is surprisingly deep for its simple rules. The object of the game is to advance your pawn to the opposite edge of the board.

The game requires much strategy and logic and is usually played at a fairly quick pace for a thinking game - games typically last around 15 minutes. The large size, solid wooden construction of this 'giant' edition gives it an elegant, coffee-table appeal which just adds to the enjoyment of play. The game can be played either as a 2 or a 4 player game. The rules are simple: just make it through the maze that is built up over time before your opponent does.
On your turn you may either move your pawn one space OR place a wall. Walls can be placed anywhere on the board but can't make it impossible for you opponent to get to the other side (just very hard). The first pawn to reach the opposite side wins.
Quoridor is an exciting game with simple rules and great strategy. The game can be played by two or four players. There are 20 'fences' to be equally split between the players.
The object is to advance your pawn from the base line on your side of the board to your opponent's base line on the other side by moving one square at a time. License Of Imposition Studio on this page. A fence blocks the move of a pawn so that the pawn cannot jump the fence, but must go around it. The resulting moves creates a maze of fences so that the path to the base line is a complex 'quoridor'.
The board measures 14 1/2' x 12', and is made of solid walnut finished with multiple layers of durable tung oil which is water resistant. The fences (made of cedar) and pawns (four different colors) come in a nice wooden box.
Game rules are included. The game is for ages 10 and above, and takes about 30 minutes to finish.
