When downloading a program to run on my computer, I was told I had to be running a 64 bit and that I was running a 32 bit. I 'm not for sure how this happened but I'd like to be running 64 bit.

I 'm not for sure how this happened but I'd like to be running 64 bit. Especially for 64-bit XP, it's probably not a good idea. There were many problems with it and almost no advantages. Also, are you sure you are running 32-bit? Hold down the Windows key and press Pause Break. It will tell you there.

And one other point. Support for Windows XP ends this coming April, and it isn't wise to continue running any version of it. Thank you for any help There is no way to change the 'bitness' of any version of Windows from 32-bit to 64-bit or vice versa.
