Overview Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction is a 2005 game released by, and was the first of two games released in this series (followed up by 2008's ). The game takes place in a fictional war against, which has been seized in a military coup. Plot The game is set during a fictional war in the year of 2010. North Korea and South Korea were initially getting along with one another as the two countries were preparing to reunite with one another in what was known as a 'sunshine phase'.
