Waves Nls Pc
Hi all!Trying out Waves NLS. Waves NLS alternatives that are less CPU demaning. Michael Music PC i7 2600K; 64gb Ram; 3 256gb SSD. NLS Non-Linear Summer plugin delivers the ultimate analog summing sound in-the-box, featuring three legendary virtual consoles with over 100 individually modeled.
I've had it for a year, now. I wouldn't want to do without it, as it brings a vibe I have missed since selling my 36X24 Soundcraft 6000. Between it and the UAD Studer/Ampex, I'm a pretty happy camper, sonically speaking. It is, indeed, pretty easy on the CPU. I use it on virtually every channel and group. Mine are mapped to a hardware controller, which adds convenience.
For the record, the differences between the 3 consoles, along with the individual channel variations are quite audible and can really add to the overall texture. I have heard that the Slate product is wonderful. I'm sure it is, although I refuse to go with an iLok and, as a result, haven't tried it.
Either way, I'm completely satisfied with NLS and can recommend it. I'm sure that some of the other products that are commonly mentioned are great, too.
You should probably demo them and come to your own conclusions. NLS just sounds very boxy and congestsed to me. Satson makes things sound open and full of life like a real console. I used to use Nebula with MLC but I actually just use Satson now because I do think it sounds just as good after some testing. The Walkabouts Discography. The workflow is obviously no contest between to two which is another plus, but Nebula was always my benchmark for audio quality.I was interested in this as I never heard this before and wanted to see if this is obviously something on the NLS plugin. So of course, I tested right away as I always use the NLS over everything else. Here is what I heard.
Can you hear the boxyness in here? Artisan Plugin Google Sketchup Crack. Which one is which? Thanks, Marc. Hardly an unbiased test if the person who posted it is trying to prove a point?Reason I posted these are simple. There is nothing wrong with any of the plugins out. There is one issue that I have with Waves and their SSL NLS version but, it has nothing to do with it being not as good as Satson or VCC or any other plugin. The keys to using any of these channel harmonic distortion plugins is that you have to go into them @ -20/-18db peak. This will give you an advantage to really seeing how they sound/react and feel.
I'm now going to take a really good listen myself to see if I hear anything out of the ordinary like DJ Anthony mentioned on the NLS. The Satson has a vintage and modern, so I used both. Also, the first 2 is just me throwing on the plugin without doing anything. The other 4 are me pushing both of them hard. I also RMS matched 1 & 2 together, 3 & 4 together and 5 & 6 together.
Let me know which one has the boxyness. Thanks so much guys. Marc Not hearing any boxyness.
The do sound pretty damn close to me tho. Thats what I found with vcc and satson. Modern Computer Architecture By Rafiquzzaman here. Vcc never worked well for me so I stopped using it. Crashes and system locking up got a little fustrating.
Satson works just fine for me. In have always wanted to try nls tho. I dont like the wup so I never upgraded my waves plugs. Reason I posted these are simple.

I never said the NLS sounded crap or anything I just said I found it very convoluted to use vs Satson which is super simple.
